Northern Indemnity Inc. was established as the Canadian operations of Seaboard Surety Inc. In 1982, Seaboard was purchased by The St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc.
With offices in Toronto and Montreal, Northern Indemnity, Inc. focused on larger surety accounts with international reach. Northern achieved success through their emphasis on bonding expertise, financial strength and their ability to service all international requirements.
On January 1, 2003, London Guarantee Insurance Company and Northern Indemnity, Inc. joined operations under the management of St. Paul Guarantee Insurance Company.
